The NAACP Circus Comes To Memphis to Talk Charter Schools

We have yet to hear from the many parents and Memphis residents who attended the hearing last night but something tells us that their version of the night will be a lot more interesting than what's been written about the event so far.

The NAACP sees the purpose of their seven city education tour as 'studying the impact of charter schools.' They are calling these twelve person panel events 'excellence in education hearings.'

A quick glance at the Twitter feeds of some of those in attendance leads us to believe that the NAACP members came armed with the usual talking points and failed to do their research. But stay tuned: we will have first person accounts soon of what was (and wasn't said) and how the event left Memphis residents feeling about education in Memphis and about the NAACP as an organization.
